New Head Office for Outdoormania

Outdoor and camping equipment internet specialist Outdoormania.co.uk has acquired new 15,000 sq. ft. premises to house its head office and Internet distribution business.
Outdoormania, which also runs dedicated skiwear and camping websites Skimania and Campmania, has been actively seeking a suitable site to re-house its head office, to extend its Internet services and to further develop links to existing and new customers in the region.
After nearly five years of searching, Outdoormania recently acquired the five storey building close to its present location in Holmfirth near Huddersfield. The building was a former theatre, cafe bar and restaurant owned by the former Cragrats empire.
"The building is perfect, not only to house our Internet sales and distribution businesses, but also to extend our services to existing and new Internet customers. The building provides a great platform to extend our customer services departments and to offer greater in-depth product information than ever before. There is even the potential for customer collection, something that wasn’t possible from our old premises, whilst part of the building will be used to create lifestyle camping and ski sets that we can use to promote product widely across the Internet," commented managing director Sara Longden.
Plans for the building include the formation of one to one customer advice desks to promote higher levels of customer service and a stylish panoramic cafe bar on the top floor. Being located in the Pennine town of Holmfirth, the area is already a destination for walkers, mountain bikers and campers, adding to the existing attraction of the surrounding beauty of the 'Last of the Summer Wine' countryside.
"We are excited by the prospects the building brings. Being a former cafe bar and restaurant, it is in excellent condition with lots of natural light and a great deal of character," added Ms. Longden. "Having researched what else is in the region, we are confident that we will create something that is totally unique; a true high quality destination venue that doesn't exist anywhere outside key National Park towns.
" In particular, the building allows us to concentrate on providing high levels of service to those who are new to walking, camping or skiing. We aim to guide customers though the process on a one to one basis. A service which just isn't possible over the Internet."
Also planned are links with local organisations and councils to offer weekly walks and mountain bike rides from the premises, whilst the proposed cafe will also provide a central meeting point for those pursuing outdoor activities in the area.
Local Collection Now Available

In response to customer demand, Outdoormania has launched a free collection service from its new head office premises in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.
The service is available to all customers and also provides the facility to check their sizing during collection - a service which is destined to be particularly attractive to footwear customers.
To take advantage of the service, customers simply order online (a delivery cost will be included when orders are placed but no cards are actually charged until collection or goods are despatched). Once the confirmation of the order is received by the customer, they should contact Outdoormania either by email at enquiry@emania.co.uk or by telephone on 0870 495 5500 quoting their order number. Customers are then able to collect Monday to Friday 9.30pm until 4.30pm. (Group appointments available outside these hours). Delivery costs will be deducted from the customer's invoice upon collection.
Outdoormania's new mill premises are on Dunford Road, Holmfirth on the edge of the town. Holmfirth is a beautiful picturesque village made famous by the popular BBC series "The Last of the Summer Wine". Situated on the edge of the Pennines, Holmfirth is within a half hour's drivetime of many major northern cities including Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Wakefield. Outdoormania's Mill is on the edge of the National Park and just a stone's throw from some stunning walks and mountain bike routes.
